JazzTap is an exciting musical journey designed to immerse us in the fascinating world of Tap dance, making stops at its most notable moments in history. The aim is to understand, in a simple and entertaining way, the evolution of Tap dance and its connection with Jazz. Through a carefully selected repertoire, we showcase choreographies from both our own creation and those of the great masters of Tap dance, such as Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, Charles “Cookie” Cook, Eddie Brown, among others.
This musical journey blends classical and contemporary styles of Tap dance, including Soft Shoe and Flash, with a concert structure seamlessly weaving musical pieces and choreographies. It incorporates touches of other era-specific dance forms like Sand Dance and Hambone.
This performance seamlessly blends musical and dance styles while narrating anecdotes, providing a unique experience that combines artistic mastery with historical richness.
