The Experience
Diálogo Libre is a musical encounter between pianist Gino Marcelli and cellist Yurena Darias, where classical training and improvisation come together to create a concert that is vibrant, open and constantly evolving. Piano and cello engage in a dialogue without boundaries through a repertoire that spans iconic film scores, original compositions, traditional Canarian music, pop and other genres, all reinterpreted through original arrangements that make each performance a unique experience.
More than a concert, Diálogo Libre is a musical conversation unfolding in real time. The depth and lyricism of the cello meet the contemporary, jazz-inspired language of the piano, leaving room for improvisation and interaction between the two performers. The result is an intimate, dynamic and engaging performance in which tradition and modernity coexist naturally, making every concert truly one of a kind.
The experience is complemented by dinner at the Restaurant Castillo de San José. Dinner begins at 8:00 pm, followed by the concert at 9:30 pm, with an approximate duration of 50 minutes. A unique experience that brings together gastronomy and live music in a single evening.
The artists
Pianist, composer and film score writer, Gino Marcelli combines classical training with the language of jazz. Throughout his career, he has worked in film, television and theatre, collaborating with international artists and performing at festivals across Europe and the Americas. Since 2020, he has been based in Spain, where he continues his work as a performer, composer and educator.
Cellist and viola da gamba player born in La Gomera, Yurena Darias has developed a career spanning classical music, improvisation, early music and fusion with genres such as jazz, pop and Canarian music. She has performed with various chamber ensembles and orchestras and remains highly active in the artistic and educational scene in the Canary Islands.
