Escena Lanzarote: A unique Festival of Performing Arts
The Festival of Performing Arts of Lanzarote, Escena, returns for a new edition. This festival pays tribute to the performing arts within the unique natural spaces designed by César Manrique, the Centers of Art, Culture, and Tourism. It highlights the harmony between art and nature, showcasing Lanzarote as a singular example of symbiosis between the two.
Artistic performances intertwine with Manrique’s iconic settings, enriching the experience for both spectators and artists. These natural venues amplify the impact of each performance, turning every event into an unforgettable experience.

An Authentic connection with living folklore
In Mover Montañas, folklore is transformed into a living manifesto, a call to return to communities their dances, legends, and songs. Through dance and the body, this piece advocates for the need of ritual as a response to a society in crisis, appealing to the collective consciousness that is moved by sounds, melodies, and rituals. The work seeks a genuine and timeless connection with folklore that transcends borders and eras. Here, tradition is understood as a natural and continuous process, a space for gathering and communion, full of joy and emotion.
