Escena Lanzarote: A unique Performing Arts Festival
The new edition of the Lanzarote Performing Arts Festival: Escena is here. The festival pays tribute to the performing arts in the unique natural spaces designed by César Manrique, the Centres for Art, Culture, and Tourism. It highlights the fusion of art and nature, presenting Lanzarote as a global example of symbiosis between both.
Artistic proposals are intertwined with the Manrique-designed settings, enhancing the experience for both artists and audiences. The natural spaces amplify the impact of each performance, transforming every event into an unforgettable experience.
Andrea Pérez: A journey between dance and stage creation
Andrea Pérez is a performer and creator, graduated from the Conservatorio Superior de Danza María de Ávila in Madrid. Her training began at the Escuela de Danza Natalia Medina in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where she was a member of Natalia Medina Compañía de Danza from 2015 to 2017.
Currently, Andrea works as a freelance performer between Spain and Germany, collaborating with Marcat Dance Company on the productions Anhelo and Averno.
Power Nap: El sueño de la conexión y la madurez
Inspired by Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, this performance focuses on Artemis, a deeply independent figure distant from romantic love. During a revitalizing nap, Artemis dreams of a romantic connection, momentarily aligning her with the archetypes of Hera or Aphrodite.
It explores the journey of a woman transitioning into maturity, balancing the instincts of independence and home, which complement each other as she discovers her own personal formula.
An event for everyone at the Jardín de Cactus
– Power Nap – A family-friendly performance taking place on March 8th and 9th at the Jardin de Cactus, with showings at 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 4:00 PM.
