Experiencies Isla Insólita

Discover an extraordinary island and see places that have never been shown before. A unique experience for small groups accompanied by a guide who will make your visit more enriching.

You will be able to know in depth aspects related to history, geology and volcanism, visiting places such as Montaña Rajada in Montaña del Fuego or Jameo de la Cazuela in Jameos del Agua.

Unforgettable experiences that will be complemented by a food and wine tasting with local products and wines from Lanzarote.

Discover your unusual experience!

Insólita Jameos del Agua is a passionate journey down volcanism, geology and a perfect combination between art and nature in an emblematic volcanic tube that was transformed by César Manrique. The journey takes off in Jameo Chico, from where you can see Túnel de la Atlántida, where up to 38 endemic species live. Visitors will see Jameo de “La Cazuela”, which remains closed off to the public and can only be accessed through the impressive stage of the Auditorium.

La Cazuela is a unique spot that opens to the public only for private events. There are two interior waterfalls and it’s a peaceful and quiet place that is hidden away.

This guided tour will be carried out in small groups and it will come to an end at the Galería bar, where there will be a tasting appetiser menu including local produce and wine from Lanzarote.

Experience

  • Guided visit.
  • Small groups.

  • Access to restricted places such as Jameo de la Cazuela.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND THINGS TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT

* We recommend arriving with plenty of time to Jameos del Agua, before the guided tour starts in order for you to be able to park your car and validate your ticket at the ticket office. At certain times of the day, there may be queues in Taro due to the high number of people visiting the centre.

* If you have purchased a Canarian resident ticket or a Lanzarote resident ticket, remember to bring you ID card or a valid residence confirmation document and show it at the ticket office when validating your ticket. TICKETS ARE NONTRANSFERABLE and they must show the name of the person doing the tour.

* The meeting point with our tour guide in Jameos, Experiencia Insólita, is located by the crab sculpture, next to the ticket office.

* Due to the uneven surface of the volcanic floor, and the staircase access on top areas, we recommend using flat and comfortable shoes.

* For safety reasons, may we remind you to use masks during your stay at the centre, as well as to keep the minimum distance and follow the guidelines given by our staff.

A premium experience to help you feel the volcanic strength and energy of the Timanfaya National Park. Small groups can exceptionally access areas that are usually closed off to visitors going on tours around Ruta de los Volcanes.

Alongside our unique tour guide, we will get the chance to make a stop at one of the most astonishing spots in the park, Volcán de Montaña Rajada, and hike up the path that leads to the wonderful Mar de Lava viewpoint.

After finding out aspects related to the geology and volcanism of the park in detail, and enjoying the geothermal displays showing the heat that still comes out of the volcano, we will visit “Refugio de Tinecheide”, on Islote de Hilario, the origin of what nowadays is known as the Montañas del Fuego centre. Our tour will come to an end with a tasting appetiser menu including local produce and wine from Lanzarote.
