Los sonidos olvidados is a musical project led by Galician multi-instrumentalist Abraham Cupeiro, known for his passion for reviving historical instruments and breathing new life into them through a fusion with contemporary music. Los sonidos olvidados takes audiences on a journey through time, using forgotten instruments such as the Celtic carnyx or the Galician corna to create an auditory experience that evokes natural landscapes and universal emotions. Cupeiro, accompanied in this musical dialogue, blends ancient sounds with modern interpretations.

Abraham Cupeiro
Abraham Cupeiro is a multi-instrumentalist and instrument maker internationally renowned for his ability to revive sounds lost to time. His dedication to organology has allowed him to gather a collection of over 200 instruments from various eras and cultures, about 50 of which he has personally reconstructed.
Capable of playing nearly 100 instruments, Cupeiro has performed more than 250 concerts in recent years. He has collaborated with prestigious orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia.
In cinema, he has worked with Ridley Scott on Gladiator II and participated in two major Netflix productions: Life on Our Planet (2023), directed by Steven Spielberg, and the biblical thriller Mary starring Anthony Hopkins, where he played 25 instruments. Additionally, he composed the soundtrack for María Solinha and collaborates with 14th Street Music, led by Academy Award-winning Hans Zimmer.
