A new edition of the Lanzarote Performing Arts Festival: Escena , is here. The festival pays tribute to the performing arts in the unique natural spaces designed by César Manrique, the Centers of Art, Culture, and Tourism. This festival emphasizes the fusion between art and nature, showcasing Lanzarote to the world as a unique example of symbiosis between the two.
The artistic proposals intertwine with Manrique’s landscapes, enriching the experience for both spectators and artists. The natural settings amplify the impact of each performance, transforming every event into an unforgettable experience.
A different form of dance
To kick off this new edition, the festival presents “Avalanche”, a piece that transports us into a world of dance confrontations and invites us to reflect on the passage of time. “Avalanche” is not only a celebration of dance as a form of artistic expression, but also an invitation to look inward and question our own existence in an ever-changing world.
Dance and Football Freestyle
Choreographer and director Dani Pannullo, interested in new forms of urban sports that are flourishing in cities, includes football freestyle in “Avalanche” in addition to the usual cast of dancers. This innovative modality blends control, athletic skill, and virtuosity. Tricks, creativity, and style become poetry on stage.
