Keroxen Lanzarote brings its programme at the Cueva de los Verdes to a close with Lagoss and Simone Marin, a project that connects experimental electronic music, island imaginaries and interactive audiovisual creation.

Lagoss

Lagoss is an audiovisual project formed by Gonçalo F. Cardoso, founder of the international label Discrepant, together with Mladen Kurajica and Daniel García, members of the Canary Islands duo Tupperwear. Their work draws on electronic music and experimentation to explore mythologies and imaginaries connected to islands, with recurring references to the Canary Islands and figures such as San Borondón.

The band defines its sound as Future Island Folklore, a territory where tropical sounds, cybernetic elements and references to the culture and geography of the archipelago coexist. Their career has taken them to stages in cities such as Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, Berlin, London, Barcelona and Madrid, as well as on a tour of the West Coast of the United States.

For their appearance at Keroxen Lanzarote, Lagoss arrive at the Cueva de los Verdes to present their new album, Música para Plátanos.

Simone Marin

The visual component will be created by Simone Marin, an artist, audiovisual technician and programmer specialising in interactive visuals. Associated with NUMAcircuit since 2005 and Keroxen since 2009, his work spans interactive installations, video mapping, projections and the use of technology in artistic creation.

For this session, Lagoss and Simone Marin combine concept-driven electronic music inspired by the Canary Islands with interactive audiovisual installations and projections, creating a live performance in which sound and image come together as part of the same artistic proposal.
