Bar Picasso - El Almacén

Bar Picasso opened its doors in 1974 and soon became a meeting place at the heart of Lanzarote's cultural life.

Over simple tapas and glasses of wine, conversations around its tables explored art and the changes taking place on the island. Reopened in 2022, it carries that spirit forward with a menu that reinterprets Canarian cuisine.

El Diablo Restaurant

On the Islote de Hilario, El Diablo cooks meat and vegetables with heat rising from the subsoil. The grill sits above a five-metre well, where the earth’s natural temperature reaches around 250 degrees.

The dining room, conceived by César Manrique, opens onto views of the malpaís lava field through a large circular glass wall. Inside, the counters recall the socos of La Geria, a traditional way of protecting vines from the wind in Lanzarote.
