The Festival
Keroxen Festival expands its programme in 2026 with KRXN LZT, a new extension in Lanzarote that continues the festival’s commitment to experimental music, electronic music, visual arts and other forms of contemporary creation. Founded in 2009 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Keroxen has established itself as a meeting point for artists, disciplines and audiences, with a programme open to experimentation and new creative languages.
The Lanzarote programme takes place between October and November, with four events at the Cueva de los Verdes. On 22 October, Los Sara Fontán take the stage with a live performance in which rhythm, melody and improvisation find new ways of interacting.
Los Sara Fontán
Los Sara Fontán take violin and drums into a space open to improvisation and change. The duo, formed by Sara Fontán and Edi Pou, combines the classical and contemporary language of the violin with polyrhythmic patterns to create a live performance that evolves with every show.
Their approach to music has taken them to festivals and independent venues across Europe for years, developing their career outside the conventional dynamics of the music industry. In 2023, they released Queda pendiente, an album recorded, performed and produced entirely by themselves.
Their work also extends beyond music. They have developed projects with artists and collectives working in dance, poetry, theatre and audiovisual arts, making collaboration an important part of their
Pura Márquez
Pura Márquez is a multidisciplinary artist from Lanzarote and has been the artistic director of Keroxen since 2010. Her work spans installation, performance, gastronomic interventions and visual creation, with a practice shaped by experimentation and participation.
Throughout her career, she has developed projects and exhibitions at various venues in the Canary Islands and across Spain, including the Instituto de Canarias Cabrera Pinto, the Museo de la Naturaleza y y la Arqueología, CIC El Almacén and the Centro de Arte La Regenta. She has also taken part in projects related to edible art, such as the Taller de Arte Comestible held in 2023 at the Museo Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo de Lanzarote.
Pura Márquez takes part in Keroxen Lanzarote alongside Los Sara Fontán, creating an edible installation that brings a visual, participatory and gastronomic dimension to the event.
