Rafaela Carrasco has been awarded the prestigious National Dance Award in 2023. Throughout her career, she has excelled not only as a flamenco dancer but also as a choreographer. From the beginning, she has aimed to rethink, explore, and personalize flamenco. To venture into new territory. Her professional goal has been to create her own vision of dance: warm, intricate, conceptual, and designed for a dance ensemble on stage. To refine flamenco. To modernize it. To achieve this, she has absorbed knowledge from other dance disciplines while never abandoning the flamenco roots, thus embarking on a highly personal journey in her experience and expression of dance. In this show, she shares the stage with Jesús Torres, a flamenco guitarist and composer who has developed his professional career in the specialties of dance accompaniment, singing, and as a solo guitarist. She also collaborates with the prestigious singer Antonio Campos. The program of the show includes Soleá, Guitar Solo, Garrotín, Singing Solo, Farruca, and Cantiñas.
